Dresden is served by 22 airlines including Lufthansa, Eurowings, Easyjet, or Vueling. From Dresden airport there is a local train (S-Bahn 2) every half hour. Take tram #3 from East exit of the station in direction ‘Wilder Mann’ or #7 from North exit of the station in direction ‘Weixdorf’. Leave at ‘Pirnaischer Platz’ (the third stop) and walk to the East (5 min) into the park, Hotel is on the left.
Transportation during ICC
TUD will take care for the transportation needed for all activities on the ICC program. There will be free bus shuttles in the morning, during lunch break (if someone should need it), and in the evening. Going on your own initiative and responsibility to Dresden is possible on foot or public transport. Trams & buses require tickets. You can buy tickets from the bus driver and ticket machines at tram stops (both provide change), but not from a tram driver. You can get a single ticket (2,30€) or a carnet of 4 (“4er-Karte” 8,20€). Single ticket is immediately valid while a carnet has to be stamped (insert into orange box inside vehicle). You need 1 zone for all routes in Dresden, and travel up to one hour with the same ticket. For timetables see: https://www.dvb.de/en-gb/ as Google doesn’t know it.
